Uel Whitsett, a Wake County native, joined the Kuhn Law Firm in 2009. He practices primarily in the areas of commercial real estate, corporate law, estate and tax planning and commercial litigation.

Uel obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Appalachian State University in 2003. Upon graduation, he spent two years working in a large commercial bank. In 2005, Uel entered the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University, where he graduated with honors in the joint degree program, earning both his J.D. and M.B.A. While at Campbell, Uel served as an Articles Editor for the Campbell Law Review, as a staff member to the Campbell Law Observer, as an Associate Editor for The Encyclopedia of Private Equity and Venture Capital, and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. During his time in law school, Uel also gained valuable legal experience from a variety of professional opportunities and internships. Prior to joining the Kuhn Law Firm, Uel worked in a civil litigation firm, acted as an in-house associate for a large closely-held corporation, as well as in-house associate for a Fortune 500 commercial bank.

In his free time Uel is out on the roads of central North Carolina training and racing his road bike. Uel also enjoys the local Raleigh music scene.
